(31. Mar 1991 - 01. Apr 1991)Special forces of the Croatian police intervened on March 31 to regain control over Plitvice National Park. Following the decision of the Yugoslav Presidency, the Yugoslav People’s Army also descended into Plitivce to separate the belligerents. Here again, the Pakrac situation of early March repeated in Plitvice at the very end of this month, however with more casualties. A Croatian policemen, Josip Jović, lost his life, as well as Serbian minuteman Rajko Vukadinović. Seven Croatian policemen were wounded, as were thirteen on the Serbian side, with around thirty arrested, including Gorana Hadžić. Violence was spiraling out of control.
